Simple Present Tense for Kids

Simple  past tense  menjelaskan suatu kegiatan yang telah berlalu atau kejadian yang telah selesai di waktu lampau.  (explain something happened or completed in the past)

Pada  simple past tense kita mengenal kalimat non verbal atau kalimat yang menggunakan kata bantu atau dikenal dengan sebutan to be.  ada dua jenis to be pada simple past tense yaitu was dan were.


                     Subject/Pronoun        Verb (be)

                    I ......................................  was
                    He....................................  was
                    She................................... was
                    It .....................................  was
                    You................................... were
                    We.................................... were
                    They................................. were


1. Kata kerja dengan to be "was" diperuntukan untuk kalimat yang pronoun atau subjeknya tunggal.
    (The Verb "was" for singular)

  
Contoh (examples):

Saya berada dirumah Muslimah kemarin. (I was  at Muslimah's house yesterday)

Fauzan berada di Singapore bulan lalu. (Fauzan was in Singapore last month)

Susi berada di kamar tidurnya dua  jam yang lalu. (Susi was in her bed room two hours a go)

2.  Kata kerja dengan to be "were" diperuntukan untuk kalimat yang pelaku atau subjeknya plural atau lebih dari satu. (The Verb "were" for plural). Kecuali untuk pelaku atau subjek "you"


Kamu sangat senang kemarin. (You were very happy yesterday)

Latihan II. Susunlah kata-kata dibawah ini mejadi kalimat yang benar.

Definition  We can  create  sentence in present continuous tense by using the present participle (-ing form) of the verb after the present tense form of the auxiliary verb be. We use the present continuous (progressive) to tell about actions that are currently happening or at the exact moment of speech. it also can be used to describe actions or events that are planned for the future (time table).
