Pronoun merupakan kata ganti yang dapat mengantikan kata benda atau noun prase.

Ada beberapa Jenis Pronoun, Yaitu:
1. Personal Pronoun
1.1 Personal pronoun sebagai subject:
Ada tiga kategori yang termasuk personal pronoun sebagai subject:
a. The first person (kata ganti orang pertama), yaitu kata ganti untuk pembicara adalah I (singular), we (plural).
b. The second person (kata ganti kedua). Yaitu kata ganti orang yang menjadi lawan bicara (the person spoken to) adalah you yang berarti kamu (singular), you yang berarti kalian (plural).
c. The third person (kata ganti ketiga). Yaitu orang atau sesuatu yang dibicarakan (the person or thing spoken of) adalah: he yang berati dia laki-laki (singular), she yang berati dia perempuan (singular) dan it digunakan untuk mengantikan benda (singular). Serta they yang berarti mereka (plural).
Examples:

o It is the most delicious pancake that I have ever eaten.

1.2 Personal pronoun sebagai object:
Personal pronouns yang digunakan sebagai objek kata kerja adalah me, you, him, her, it, us dan them.
Examples:
o I’m doing my homework. My mom is helping me.
o Goodbye, children! I’ll call you later.
o Where is Hasan? I need to speak to him.
o Miss Aisyah is very nice. All the children like her.
o The car is very dirty. Mom is cleaning it.
o Uncle Khaeril called Santi to give her a present.
o My chocolates are all gone. Someone has eaten them.
o He is an artist.
1.3 Personal pronoun sebagai Possessive Pronoun dan Possessive Adjective
Possessive pronoun menggantikan noun sedangkan possessive adjective ditempatkan sebelum noun.
Examples of possesive pronoun:
o Mine is new.
o she like yours.
o This is hers.
o They are using ours.
o Yours are on the table.
Examples of possessive adjective
o My shoes is new.
o I like your style.
o This is her scarf.
o They are using our tools.
o Your ticket are on the table.
